Engr. Musa Wada Picks Kogi PDP governorship ticket polled 748 to beat closest rival Abubakar Idris 710 votes.

Despite the sporadic shooting by the unknown gunmen Tueday at lokoja township stadium that disrupted the PDP primary election, the head of the election panel , the governor of Adamawa state Ahmodu Fintiri has declared Engineer Musa Wada who polled 748 votes as the winner and the standard bearer of the PDP for the November 16, 2019.
Abubakar Ibrahim Idris who scored 710 votes emerged the runner up.
The imediate Past Governor of the state capt. Idris Wada who is a senior brother to the winner scored 345 votes to come third, while the embattled Senator Dino Melaye came fourth with 70 votes.
Others are Abubakar Aminu Suleiman who scored 55 votes, Victor Adoji 54 votes, Salihu Attawodi 11votes,
Joseph Erico Ameh 4 votes
Emmanuel Omebije 9 votes
Mohammed Shaibu Tetes 4 votes and
Bayo Michael who scored 2 votes.
Governor Fintiri stated that before the attack eight boxes out of ten had been sorted, even as he said the ballots boxes and papers where secured by the security personnel.
He added that the stakeholders after painstaking meeting agreed to continue with the collation and declaration of results which has produced Engineer Musa Wada as the winner.
He said a total of 2, 388 delegates were accredited out of the total of 2,578 PDP delegates from the 21 local government areas of Kogi.
According to him , “600 ballot papers had been provided, we have 13 aspirants for Kogi PDP governorship primaries and no aspirant has signified their interest to step down. So, we have 13 agents representing all the 13 aspirants,” he said
Also speaking before the commencement of the process, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP Publicity Secretary, said that the party had taken the necessary steps to ensure free, fair, credible, transparent and peaceful election.
According to him, the names of all the delegates across the state were earlier published in different national dailies and online media.
He added that every delegate had his or her photograph embossed on their accreditation card.
He said all the aspirants have pledged to support the winner Engineer Musa in the November 16.2019 governorship election.
