The presidential elction tribunal led by Justice Mohammed Garba and five members panel today admitted a 48 compact video disc in evidence from the PDP and its Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar in a suit challenging President Buhari victory in the February 23rd Presidential Election.
The tribunal today ordered the viewing of the video in open-court. The APC, President Buhari and the Independent National Electoral commission through its lawyer had objected to the move by Atiku and PDP to play the video before the presidential election petition tribunal.
Lawyers to Buhari, APC and INEC raised the Objection when the petitioners lawyers Chris Uche invited Atikus media aid Segun Showunmi through all Uche intended playing the video recording and tendered about 48 documents. Uche said the documents were sourced from the internet.
According to Chris Uche SAN, the video document are in relation to the happenings during the last Presidential elections But Buhari lawyer, Alex Izinyon SAN, Adeniyi Akintola SAN, and Yunis Usman of INEC objected to tendering of the document and airing of the video recordings on the grounds that the petitioners did not offload the items are required under the electoral Act.
