I will give 35% positions to women – Aminu Abubakar PDP aspirant


Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Suleiman , governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic party(PDP) has vowed to implement  the women’s  35% affirmative action in his cabinet if elected governor of kogi state.

The governorship aspirant stated this Tuesday in the state capital when Lokoja PDP   women wards leaders,  endorsed his candidature for the November 16, 2019 election.

He assured the women of his determination for them to  play vital roles in his administration stressing that any meaningful government  will not toy with issues that affects women .
Aminu Suleiman commended the women for tapping into his campaign train which he described as a movement that will resolve the missing developmental links in the state by successive  governments.

He promised to making basic education and healthcare delivery for women and children free and affordable, hinting that a healthy women is a healthy nation.

He urged the women to support his aspiration which he said will deliver dividends of democracy adding that he was  aware of the challenges facing the state and he is  well prepared to make a huge difference.

He called on the women to form cooperative groups so as to enable his administration to be abreast with their areas of needs seeking for solution .

While calling on the people of Lokoja LGA to support his ambition and the PDP to ensure the return of the good old days when the party was in power , said , with the women’ s endorsement, his winning the ticket and the governorship is assured.  
The spokesperson of the  Lokoja Wards women leaders  Hajia  Hauwa Musa noted that the endorsement was necessitated by  the  prominence given to women in the master plan of  Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Suleiman.

She added that they were ready to work for his success at the poll promising to give  him over 85% of their votes at  the delegates election.
She urged the aspirant not to renege on his  promise of giving a voice to the women whom she said are the bedrock of any nation. 
She promised to mobilize women across the 21 LGAs for his support to ensuring his victory at the delegates and general elections.
