The Kogi State Hajj Commission, has advised all intending pilgrims from the state to complete all registration processes before or on 31 March, 2019 as it intensified public enlightenment across the 21 local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement signed
by the commission’s Public Relations Officer, Isah Abdulrahman and made
available to Saturday Independent said that vacancies are still available
for those willing to participate or sponsor candidates for this year’s holy
pilgrimage to Makka, Saudi Arabia.
The commission also called on all intending pilgrims who have earlier deposited an amount with the commission to update their payment to N1.5 million naira only, not later than the first week of March, 2019.
The statement added that all those willing to make fresh payments for this year’s Hajj, effective from March, 2019, shall pay the sum of N1.5 million naira only, pending the announcement of the year Hajj fares by the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) for final payment.

The items required includes : an E-pasport, National Identification Number, (NIN), a certified medical fitness report, and a letter from a Guarantor whose rank is not lower than a civil servant on GL. 12 and above or District Head/Chief Imam of a Jumat Mosque, while Female Intending pilgrims are to come with a sworn affidavit deposed to by their Mahram.
The commission has also commended Sensitisation in the three
senatorial districts of the state to enlighten intending pilgrims on
their obligations. The sensitization campaign according to the
commission would be carried out in Jumat Mosques economic and commercial
centres like, Zango markets, cashew outlets, farm centres, Fulani Hubs and
Other places where the sensitization campaign are to be carried out by the commission includes people that own Foundations, Local Government Areas and the Media even as public lectures will commence in due course.
