IGP decorates newly promoted DIGs and inaugurated vibrant IGP teams

Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu  today decorated 8 Newly promoted DIG’s and also  inaugurated the IGP management teams.The newly decorated DIGs are ; Usman Tilli Abubakar, Abdul Majid Ali, Aminchi Samaila Baraya, Fredrick Taiwo Lakanu, Godwin C. Nwobodo, Yakubu O. Jibrin, Usman Yakubu, and Anthony Ogbizi Michael.

The event was held today at the peacekeeping hall of the Nigeria Police headquarter Abuja.The IGP at the decoration ceremony of the DIG’s and inaugural ceremony of the IGP teams expressed that the task of policing a complex nation like ours is undoubtedly arduous. But with your individual and collective experience, I am confident that together we can surmount challenge, he said”.
According to him, ” We have to resolve new thoughts and embrace new orientation as a police organisation, to work with the citizens, neighborhood and other strategic security actors as pathway towards addressing command crime.

“Policing Standards and practices have to change in Nigeria if only we want to restore citizen’s trust and attain our mandate in the most effective manner. “However, it’s also a clear statement that under my leadership, merits  shall be the overriding standard that will guide promotion.

He charged the newly decorated DIGs to work together in partnership in actualizing his visions. He expects them to be team players, colleagues, friends and brothers in the service to our great nation,” rededicate yourself to serve the Nigeria Police and the nation”, he said.
