As per a report from Kike Marin, regarded as quite reliable when it comes to Arsenal news, the Gunners are said to have lodged a 100 million Euro bid for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
Following a breakout season in his home country with Rennes 3 years ago, 21-year-old Dembele made the move to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2016, quickly establishing himself as one of world football’s most coveted young stars.
A return of 10 goals and a staggering 21 assists in his debut campaign at the Westfalenstadion left Europe’s top sides scrambling for the services of the wing wizard, with La Liga giants Barcelona having sought out the Frenchman to replace Neymar, following his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
As such, despite Barca having splashed out such a massive fee on the blistering winger just 10 months ago, Dembele has already been heavily linked with a departure from the Camp Nou, with all of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea touted as potential destinations.
And, despite the La Liga champions reportedly making it clear to any and all suitors that the World Cup winner is absolutely not for sale, a shock update courtesy of Kike Marin this afternoon has ‘confirmed’ that Arsenal have tabled a 100 million Euro bid for Dembele.
Marin adds that the key is whether the player himself has any intention of making the move to the Emirates or not, with a decision needed ASAP ahead of the close of the English transfer window in a few hours’ time
